New York! And other places...

Yes, we were in New York!  Though Caleb did enjoy a nice ice cream cone, we saw much more!  We saw all of the Palmyra church history sites and then made our way over to Niagara Falls.  We stayed in Canada one of the nights (to see the falls) and had so much fun!

I loved this picture of Caleb below.  The first thing he said to me when he saw Jesus was, "Mommy, Jesus hurt", then proceeded to tell me his hands and feet were hurt.   How sensitive children are!

The two water falls in Niagara were beautiful.  We got to take the 'Maid of the Mist' tour that takes you right under the falls.  All of us were given rain coats, but we still got wet!

Besides everything in New York, we also were able to go see Amish country and Kirtland (the usual places we take people to visit!).  This time we were able to take a tour of an Amish home and then took a ride in a typical amish horse and buggy.

We had some time to kill before the Kirtland Temple tour, thus the reason for wearing the bonnets in the above picture!  The museum by the temple, had a chest of clothes depicting attire from the 1800's, so we had a little fun.

Most of the time on our excursions this week, I haven't been able to go on certain tours or see certain things, because of this wild little boy.  Sticks and cats were much more interesting to him, than anything we would have seen inside!

Row, Row, Row Your Boat!

On Saturday, we had the hottest day of the season, 70 degrees!  We took advantage of the good weather and rented a row boat on a local reservoir.  We tried to fish, but had no luck!  It was still a lot of fun, Caleb constantly made us nervous, with how daring and close he was to the edge of the boat.  He is definitely a dare devil, but as you can see in the picture, he still loves to give kisses!

Happy Easter!

We've had a great Easter weekend!  Of course, the most important part of Easter is recognizing that our Savior died and was resurrected this day.  It's so easy to get caught up in the Easter baskets, coloring Easter eggs and looking for plastic eggs with candy (as all of my pictures below are about!).  I really am so thankful for my testimony in Jesus Christ, we have so much to be thankful for, to look forward to and be optimistic about, all because He lived and died for us.  Forgive me now, for posting so much on the frivolous part of the holiday!

We had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, we had so much fun!  Thanks Katy for such a great activity and being so generous!

And of course dyeing eggs...

Caleb looking for his Easter basket (as tradition, we always hide the Easter baskets!)...

Found it!
I hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter!
